FAQs

Are you insured?

Each activity provider will hold the appropriate insurance for their activity.

Do I need to book?

Many of the events will be run on a drop-in basis and you will be welcome to just turn up, however a small number will need to be booked in advance. These sessions which require booking indicated in the calendar.

Do I need to pay?

Most sessions are free! However some sessions do incur a small charge, these are marked with a pound sign on the calendar.

How often can I come?

As much as you want! These sessions are here to help support your wellbeing. To get the most benefit we encourage regular attendance. During September we are running a month long pilot programme, a new timetable will be in operation afterwards – see the calendar for upcoming sessions.

What age do you have to be?

During our pilot stage we can offer our programme to people aged 16 and over.  Check each activity in the calendar for any listed age restrictions. We hope to introduce activities for children in the next phase.

Can I bring my dog?

A lot of the sessions are dog friendly, so look out for the dog icon. In the interest of safety and focus, there will be some sessions where dogs will not be allowed.

Why should I come and what’s the benefit? Is there any evidence?

There is a large body of scientific research which shows how beneficial activity in green spaces is to our emotional, physical and social wellbeing. Visit our research page for more information.

How do I get there?

Activities are being held at different venues throughout the borough. You can search by location on the activity page. Click here for transport details for each venue.

I get nervous doing things for the first time, is there support?

Yes, our sessions are friendly and welcoming. Each session will be hosted so that there is a friendly face and someone to welcome you and help make introductions to other participants. Don’t worry if you don’t like speaking in groups or to people you don’t know, there is no pressure to, but we’ll run the sessions with an emphasis on socialising too.

I’d like to help, can I volunteer?

Yes please! We have a range of volunteering roles in which you could support us, please contact us at hello@naturalhealthservice.london
