What we do

What we do

The Natural Health Service provides and promotes engagement with nature to support emotional, physical and social health. Everyone is welcome! Come to get fit, to stay well, have fun and make friends. You can also be referred by your GP through a social prescription.

Feel the breeze

We offer a range of activities to help you engage with and benefit from the natural environment within your local community: Befriending • Bushcraft • Cooking classes • Cycling (inclusive, including support for people with disabilities) • Gardening • Health walks • Nature-based counselling • Nutrition classes • Outdoor activity sessions • Practical conservation • Running • Volunteering opportunities

We are running a month long pilot programme in September 2017, come and find out more; have a go, have a chat, be inspired. We’ll be in South Norwood Country Park on Saturday 9th September, 1-4pm, opposite the visitors centre.

Natural Health Service Consortium

The Natural Health Service is delivered by a consortium of non profit organisations: Good Gym, Good Food Matters, The Conservation Volunteers, Wheels for Wellbeing and Wild in the City

Nature provides a free health service

We are launching in Croydon with a month long pilot programme, and activities are available throughout the borough including Lloyds Park, South Norwood Country Park, South Norwood Lake, and Wandle Park. In the coming months we will be expanding across London, so look out for us in your borough.
